A police officer on duty in front of the gatehouse of the entrance gate of the Ministry of the Interior in Paris was attacked Thursday evening, February 8 by a man who tried to strangle her before being arrested, it was reported learned from police sources.
The suspect
“grabbed her by the throat and tried to enter the courtyard”
of the ministry, around 8 p.m., said one of these sources, specifying that the official was
“slightly injured”
.
The man, who
“did not speak during the events or claim anything” and “seems to suffer from psychiatric disorders”
, was quickly arrested by the other police officers present at Place Beauvau, the same source added.
