Seniors forced to be called to order by their own children because they are too addicted to their smartphones, especially at mealtimes.
The scene is now common in many French families.
In fact, 50-64 year olds spend 2 hours 29 minutes per day browsing the internet.
That is 8% more than last year, according to the annual report published by the Médiamétrie institute.
Among those aged 65 and over, it's 1 hour 32 minutes. Seniors now favor smartphones to connect to the internet and thus confirm the supremacy of mobile in their uses.
It represents, in fact, 69% of their time spent online and 57% from the age of 65.
That was only a third of their usage five years ago.

Like teenagers, seniors have also succumbed to the lure of social networks and messaging.
Those aged 50-64 consult an average of three per day, their elders 2.3.
