District - It is probably the largest music competition in Germany: At “Jugend musiziert” thousands of young talents from all over the country demonstrate their skills every year.

At the regional competition, which took place in Landsberg with 82 participants, numerous instrumentalists from the region took part.

More than 20 of them can look forward to very good results, and three of them are even going to the state competition in Kempten in March.

As Franziska Mayr-Probst from the Landsberg Music School explains, the young musicians must receive at least 23 points with distinction in the regional competition in order to be able to face the jury of the state competition.

A certain age is also required for participants to move on to the next stage of the competition.

Forwarding is only possible from age group III.

This corresponds to students in a 7th or 8th grade.
