Three people were indicted, including one for murder, after the discovery of a body in mid-January in the small town of Neufchâteau in the Vosges, the Epinal public prosecutor announced on Thursday.
The person indicted for murder is an 18-year-old young man from Metz, prosecutor Frédéric Nahon said in a press release.
He was placed in pre-trial detention.
Two other people, a man and a woman, were indicted for failure to report a crime.
They were both placed under judicial supervision.
“At this stage of the investigations carried out by the investigating magistrate, no motive can be identified
,” said Nahon.
The date of the arrest of the three suspects was not specified, nor the identity of the victim.
The body of a man in his thirties killed by a gun was discovered in the small town of 6,000 inhabitants on the night of January 16 to 17.
According to the local daily Vosges Matin, the murder occurred in a premises used to package or resell drugs.
Other people are still wanted in connection with this case, according to the newspaper.
