An extensive search for missing persons began at the Inn on Thursday morning (symbolic image).

A major operation by the fire brigade and water rescue service has been underway in the Inn Valley since Thursday morning.
A well-known journalist is missing.
Kirchdorf am Inn – Shortly after 8 a.m. on Thursday, the extensive search for a missing person in the Inn Valley began for a prominent journalist.
The Passauer Neue Presse
(PNP)
initially
reported that a corresponding alarm had been received in the morning.
Accordingly, the Inn is being searched with several boats, starting from Braunau in Austria.
The search should extend to the German side around Kirchdorf am Inn (Rottal-Inn district).
A drone should also be in use.
According to
the PNP,
forces from German and Austrian fire departments are involved in the measures together with the Bavarian Water Rescue Service and the Simbach Technical Relief Agency.
The search on the water was initially unsuccessful.
When asked by our editorial team, the police in Braunau, Austria, did not want to provide any further information about the status of the measures.
