US moderator Carlson questions Russian ruler Putin.

The German attitude to the Nord Stream sabotage is also an issue.

The Kremlin boss becomes clear.

MOSCOW - Interviews with Russian President Vladimir Putin are nothing special, but the interview with prominent conservative US host Tucker Carlson was unique.

For the first time since the start of the Ukraine war, a Western journalist conducted an interview with Putin.

Carlson asked Putin several questions, which the Kremlin leader answered in detail.

One question in particular was about Germany.

Putin comments on Nord Stream sabotage: “Look who has an interest in it”

“Who blew up Nord Stream?” Carlson asked clearly and wanted to know whether Russia had evidence that NATO or the CIA were behind it.

In September 2022, the Nord Stream gas pipelines from Russia to Germany were blown up with explosive devices on the bottom of the Baltic Sea.

Russia was initially suspected, but later information emerged that put Ukraine in distress.

Putin now told Carlson that he didn't want to go into details about the evidence, but in such cases they always say: "Look who has an interest in it (in the explosion, editor's note)." In this case, Putin said, we also have to look at who not only has an interest but also has the technical ability to destroy these pipelines.

Carlson further formulated his question and finally came to Germany.

Ultimately, says the moderator, this explosion has damaged the German economy: “Maybe it will never recover, so why are the Germans quiet and saying nothing?

That confuses me?” Putin responded with clear words – and a clear gesture.

The Russian president tapped the wooden table between him and Carlson, made a dull sound and said: “That’s how it is in their heads.” They were “very incompetent people,” he added, obviously with an eye on the federal government.

“Today’s German leadership is oriented towards the interests of the collective West instead of its own national interests,” Putin accused, saying that there was no other way to explain the logic of Germany’s “action or inaction.”

The Kremlin leader gave concrete examples that, like Tucker Carlson, would confuse him.

In an interview with Tucker Carlson: Putin hides Russia's blackmail with gas deliveries

One of the Nord Stream pipelines is still usable, Putin said.

In fact, both strands of Nord Stream 1 were destroyed in the explosion in September 2022, but one strand of Nord Stream 2 is still intact.

But Germany, Putin complained, was not opening the pipes so that gas could flow from Russia.

At the same time, Poland and Ukraine would block gas pipelines from Russia to Germany.

Germany finances both countries through European funds and also supplies weapons to Ukraine.

“In terms of financial aid to Ukraine, Germany is the second largest sponsor of the USA,” Putin claimed.

"So why doesn't Germany say, 'Look guys, we're supplying you with money and weapons, so please open the pipes and let Russian gas through for us'?" the Kremlin leader continued.

If he had his way, Germany would have to say: “We buy liquid gas in Europe at overpriced prices, which affects the level of competitiveness of our economy.” And further: “Do you want us to buy you (Ukraine and Poland, editor's note) .) Give money?

Then let’s have our smart existence, make money with our economy, because that’s where the money we give you comes from.”

What the Kremlin boss does not mention in his statements: Russia is using gas deliveries and its dependence on these deliveries as a weapon to exert pressure.

The goal of Germany and other European countries is to become independent of Russia's energy supplies in the long term - and thus less vulnerable to political blackmail from Moscow.
