Every year, Falstaff magazine publishes a list of the best restaurants in Germany - and also one for Munich.
These are the best restaurants in the state capital.
Munich - It's no secret that you can go out for great food in Munich.
However, it is sometimes difficult to choose among the numerous restaurants - this list may help: The Fallstaff magazine has chosen the best restaurants in Munich.
Or rather the readers - because they were able to vote among the restaurants and award points in the categories of food, service, wine and ambience.
One of Munich's best addresses: Jan von Jan Hartwig
At the top of the list, with 98 out of 100 possible points: The
Restaurant
Jan.
Jan Hartwig is one of nine 3-star chefs in Germany - and has a restaurant on Luisenstrasse in Munich.
The readers of Falstaff Magazine are convinced: craftsmanship and sustainability are the focus, modern and classic techniques ensure taste experiences in a stylish ambience.
In second place is
Tantris
(97 points) – an institution in Munich.
Closely followed by
Tantris DNA
(96 points) – both led by Benjamin Chmura.
Tantris DNA serves fine French cuisine, while Tantris impresses with its clear aesthetics and stringent taste.

got 96 out of 100 possible points and thus ends up on the list of the best restaurants in Munich.
The attention to detail impressed readers.
The EssZimmer by Käfer
in the BMW Welt and the
Atelier in the Bayerischer Hof
are neck and neck
- both restaurants were rated 95 points.
In the dining room, chef Bobby Bräuer promises casualness and luxury and pampers his guests with fine dining.
In the Atelier in the Bayerischer Hof, the French-based haute cuisine with Asian-Japanese influences impresses.
Restaurants are neck-and-neck when it comes to voting
The Komu
restaurant on Hackenstrasse (93 points) and the
Mural Restaurant
(91 points) also made it onto the list
.
In the latter, the vegan menu was particularly well received by the guests - as were the vegetarian offerings.
Werneckhof Sigi Schelling
is on par
(91 points).
Owner Sigi Schelling focuses on classic, seasonal and light cuisine.
The writing department in Munich's old town scored another 91 points.
