The President of the Senate Gérard Larcher contacted the public prosecutor after accusations of blackmail within the upper house itself, the presidency of the Senate indicated on Friday February 9.
Le
Canard chainé
revealed this week the dismissal procedure initiated against a doctor from the High Assembly who had brought to the attention of management the existence of an intimate video involving “
a senator
”.
This “sex tape” would have become, according to the weekly, “
a means of pressure
” used by a “
medical assistant
”, who for example would have seen her salary “
increased by 45%
”.
Friday morning, the doctor in question sent a letter to all the senators in which he returned to the matter, affirming that he was going to exercise “
litigious recourse for unfair dismissal
”, according to his letter consulted by
Le Figaro.
In this letter, he also accuses this medical assistant of having been hired “on the basis of false diplomas” and claims to have alerted the Senate administration “
several times
” on the subject.
He also explains that he reported that this assistant “
boasted of holding compromising elements from her lover
”, presented as “an authority of the Senate”, in order to “
retain a lever of pressure
”.
“I understood that by reporting (...) this information, my fate was sealed,” he said again in this letter.
