After the robbery of a cash-in-transit truck in Großkarolinenfeld in January, an urgent suspect was arrested.
The 28-year-old driver of the car is accused.
Großkarolinenfeld - The incident sparked a major police manhunt: On Friday, January 5th, two masked men held up a money transporter in front of a bank branch in Großkarolinenfeld (Rosenheim district) and stole cash.
The Rosenheim Criminal Inspectorate then set up an investigative group to investigate the crime.
This Friday morning, February 9th, a 28-year-old man was arrested.
He is considered an urgent suspect and the public prosecutor's office has obtained an arrest warrant against him, as reported by the Upper Bavaria South Police Headquarters.
The investigators were also able to secure the suspected getaway vehicle.
After a cash-in-transit truck was robbed in Großkarolinenfeld: driver arrested
According to police, the man was the driver of the cash-in-transit truck at the time of the crime.
In the course of the investigation, which was carried out “with great pressure and meticulousness” by 25 police officers, suspicions emerged against the man, which became urgent suspicions.
Therefore, a judicial arrest warrant was enforced against the 28-year-old Turkish citizen by the Traunstein public prosecutor's office - which is in charge of the investigation.
As part of the search for the perpetrators of the cash-in-transit robbery, vehicles were extensively checked and the police presence in the region was very high.

On Friday morning, the suspect was arrested at his residence in the Rosenheim district by the Rosenheim criminal police and forces from the investigation squad (USK) of the Bavarian riot police.
He offered no resistance.
During the subsequent search of the living quarters, the officers were able to seize evidence.

During this morning he was brought before the responsible investigating judge at the Rosenheim District Court, who ordered an arrest warrant.
The police did not reveal which correctional facility the 28-year-old is currently in.

A few days ago, investigators had already seized the suspected getaway vehicle, a Mercedes Vito.
The police are therefore withdrawing the relevant public search.
The car has already been examined for evidence, but according to the police, the results are not yet available.
A conclusion of the further necessary investigations is not expected in the near future.
