The municipality of Münsing wants to draw up a development plan for the sensitive Agrobs company site in Degerndorf before allowing an expansion.

Münsing - The municipality is sticking to its guns: It wants to draw up a development plan for the sensitive Agrobs company premises in Degerndorf before allowing the two additional production and storage halls for horse feed requested by the Berger family.

As reported, the district office approved a first building application from summer 2023 that was rejected by the local council, without the development plan being ready.

With ten votes to five, the council voted on Tuesday to continue on the chosen path.

Agrobs company premises in Degerndorf: A development plan should be available in the spring

Mayor Michael Grasl (Free Voters) announced that the development plan would be available in the spring.

The planned halls number six and seven cannot be prevented because the project is privileged, but the size of the buildings and further development on the site can be controlled with a development plan.

In addition, only in this way would citizens have the opportunity to comment on the interpretation.

If the district office replaces the local council's no with a yes again, Grasl wants to sue if necessary.

He regrets that the authority is “slowing down” the community.

So far there has only been one decision to draw up a development plan, which only shows the area of application for the expansion.

At the same time, the municipality has issued a ban on changes, i.e. a temporary construction ban.

Christine Mair (Greens) explained that she clearly saw advantages in a development plan.

Many citizens complained about the heavy goods traffic by Agrobs, and many companies benefited from tourism, which suffered due to the impairment of the landscape.

In addition, the community also lives from the income tax of the people who have settled in beautiful Münsing - not just from the trade tax of the feed manufacturer.

That's why it's important to involve citizens.

Thomas Schurz (CSU) also wants to retain the municipality's planning sovereignty at all costs - even if a development plan costs time and money.

Helge Strauß (CSU), Tobias Eckart (Free Voters), Anja Ruhdorfer (Greens), Bernhard Ruhdorfer (Münsing voters' group) and Georg Sebald (Ammerland voters' group) voted against the administration's proposal.

They believe there is little point in opposing the district office.

“It is fantasy to think that we could significantly change the size of the halls with a development plan,” says Sebald.

Agrobs managing director Simon Berger (Unity Degerndorf) and his parliamentary group colleague Markus Resenberger were absent from the meeting.

The numerous listeners who had come because of the item on the agenda left the town hall with relief.
