Highlights: Ismaninger career fair for its 25th anniversary very well attended. There are currently 24 trainees in Ismaning and three specific vacancies at the stock exchange. Record number of stands - growth limited, says school social worker Lydia Reiter. She has to lay the cards next year and find out whether the training exchange should be ended at the upper limit of 60 due to spatial limits or whether ways to find further growth will be found. The Unterföhring Kolping family joined the project and the students have been offered training programs since 2007.

The training exchange has existed in Ismaning for 25 years and it feels like everything has changed in the quarter century.

Ismaning

- When the campaign began, the Ismaning Kolping family had the goal of improving the local young people's chances of getting a training place.

During the anniversary edition, many companies were grateful to be able to make contact with middle and high school students.

300 to 400 young people from the communities of Ismaning, Unterföhring and Garching from the two schools visited the training fair.

There were also a number of guests from the neighboring Kirchheim middle school.

With this size, the training exchange is extremely interesting for many providers, from local craft businesses to the Bundeswehr.

“We have grown from our mid-30s to 53 exhibitors,” says youth social worker Lydia Reiter.

She has been working since September for this day, on which students network with potential employers.

The large Ismaning IT company MSG is a loyal guest every year and also an exemplary trainer in the community.

There are currently 24 trainees in Ismaning and three specific vacancies at the stock exchange.

“The proximity to the apartment is great,” says Nadine Seibert.

Founder of the local training exchange

Her colleague Sophia Adam had a good feeling during some conversations, “when questions come.

These are students who don’t just want to get a stamp.” Nadine Seibert wants the event to “make us even better known in Ismaning.”

A special guest was Rudolf Höpfl, who once launched the training exchange with the Kolping family.

He still remembers that at that time there were several applications for a training position and efforts were made to make arrangements through personal contacts.

“We started with the local craft businesses back then,” says Rudolf Höpfl.

At that time, they started with a list of local offers.

“The training exchange has developed really well,” says Höpfl.

Record number of stands - growth limited

The Unterföhring Kolping family joined the project and the students have been offered application training programs since 2007.

And now the limits of the Ismaninger Bürgersaal have been reached with the new record of 53 stands.

“We could have gotten ten more companies this time,” says school social worker Lydia Reiter.

She has to lay the cards next year and find out whether the training exchange should be ended at the upper limit of 60 due to spatial limits or whether ways to find further growth will be found.
