The popular Tutzinger film tavern is empty.

There are several interested parties to succeed the Croatian with the pizza offer.

Meanwhile, preparations to reopen the cinema are underway in the same building.

We are looking for donors and members for a citizens' association.

Tutzing - The pizza from the wood oven and the hearty Croatian cuisine are history: one of the most popular Tutzingen restaurants is empty - the film tavern at Kirchenstrasse 3 in the building of the cinema, which is also abandoned (we reported).

For Robert Harthauser from the owner family, this development came as a surprise and very sudden.

He found the matter “dubious” and “quite strange”.

In an interview with the Starnberger Merkur, he says: “I have never experienced anything like this.” And the man has been at home in the catering sector for several decades.

At least Harthauser can now report: “I have four to five interested parties.” With different nationalities, cuisines and concepts.

However, the decision for a new tenant has not yet been made.

On Thursday, Harthauser spoke again with a potential successor for the film tavern.

It was clear that there would be a change of tenant at the turn of the year.

Actually, the brother of the previous operator should have taken over the restaurant.

However, Harthauser explains that he did not receive the necessary approval from the district office to register a business.

And the previous tenant left overnight.

“He left everything behind and went abroad,” reports the owner.

Harthauser also did not receive a proper notice of termination.

At first he couldn't reach the restaurant operator, but eventually he showed up again in Tutzing.

The vacancy is damaging to business.

It has to go on.

“The vacancies are damaging to business.

“It has to go on,” says Harthauser.

Since the end of January, he has been offering the premises with a total area of 200 square meters and the approximately 100 square meter guest room on a real estate portal.

Rental price: 2600 euros.

The landlord is convinced: “Twenty years ago, someone would have responded immediately.” Nevertheless, he is confident that he can conclude a contract with one of the interested parties.

The house on Kirchenstrasse is in upheaval like never before; for the Harthausers it feels like everything is coming at once.

Robert Harthauser and his son Maximilian recently changed the concept of the cellar bar “Flimmi's”.

They were no longer satisfied with the tenant.

The small pub, designed for 50 guests, can now be booked for private parties (we reported).

The offer has been very well received, says Harthauser.

Meanwhile, preparations are underway in the background for the reopening of the cinema in the same building.

The lease agreement with Michael Teubig had been terminated.

“We have been working hard for weeks to find a financially resilient concept, the right partner for the programming and the appropriate operating systems for the citizens' cinema,” writes Lucie Vorlickova from the Tutzinger List on the citizens' association's homepage.

She is responsible for the Harthausers' cinema comeback.

One thing is clear: it only works with voluntary and financial support from Tutzingers.

The website www.kurtheater-tutzing.com is looking for club and board members, donors and service staff for the film screenings.

According to the homepage, information events on the concept of the community cinema are scheduled to take place from the end of February.

There is already a fixed date: Thursday, March 21st, at 7 p.m. in the cinema.
