The last generation continues to evolve.

After the bonding campaign ends, she wants to go into politics.

Is the EU helping against the disintegration of the protest group?

Brussels - Every blockbuster director knows that you should start stories with a bang and then slowly increase the tension.

This may work in films, but the method is unsuitable in politics.

Last Generation activists will soon discover this too.

For two years they sought escalation and annoyed people with their protests.

In the future, they would like to go one step further – and be elected by those who have just suffered from their actions.

The adhesives a.

D. from the last generation want to reinvent themselves, move to the EU Parliament in Brussels and fight for the climate there.

One could see this as an example of democracy in action, of commitment and design.

More likely, however, it is just evidence of the disorientation of a group that has lost its way.

Your previous methods have rarely been constructive.

And certainly not capable of gaining a majority, as shown by the sometimes extreme reactions of the blocked road users.

The last generation must become socially acceptable in order to be successful in the EU

The tragedy is that their concern was always justified in the face of the impending climate catastrophe and their desperation seems authentic.

But in order to give climate protection the appropriate attention at a time when people are exhausted for many reasons, it takes more than just radical arbitrariness.

The war in Ukraine and the fighting in the Middle East are also having an impact here.

Be it financial worries due to rising energy prices or the emerging social division.

This requires a movement that is socially accepted and, conversely, respects the political rules of the game.

“Fridays for Future” may be going through a deep crisis at the international level, but in Germany they are such an accepted force.

The climate policy story of the last generation, however, is coming to an end.
