For over thirty years he received the allowance because he was severely visually impaired: a situation that worsened until four years ago when an 84-year-old pensioner from Ciriè (Turin) was judged to be completely blind.

Yet he went to the ATM unaccompanied and took time to carry out transactions, stopped to read the mortuary posters posted on the walls and walked calmly through the city.

The newspaper La Stampa wrote it.

The elderly man had been reported to the Carabinieri of Ciriè and, after a series of investigations, made up of stalking and stalking, which lasted two years, the investigators managed to ascertain that the man was actually seeing.

The elderly man has been reported for aggravated fraud and the Ivrea court has now ordered the preventive seizure of all his assets.

That is, just under 90 thousand euros blocked lying in the current account and also an apartment on the outskirts of Ciriè.

Two doctors are now also under investigation with him - one from the health insurance company and the other from the ASL To4 - who allegedly ascertained the worsening of his health conditions.

Until the last specialist visit in 2020 which would have ascertained the man's total blindness.

Who, obviously, every now and then also went out with the cane used by those who really can't see.

The provision issued by the investigators of the Ivrea prosecutor's office (Turin) goes towards the confiscation of both the money and the property owned by him.
