A man was rescued from his apartment with life-threatening injuries during a fire in Neustadt an der Aisch.

There was a fire in Neustadt an der Aisch that left one person critically injured.
The fire department rescued him from his apartment.
Neustadt an der Aisch – A fire broke out in a ground floor apartment in an apartment building in Neustadt an der Aisch on Friday morning, February 9th, around 5:30 a.m.
A 43-year-old man was critically injured, reports the Middle Franconia police headquarters.

Initial investigations indicate negligent arson
When the emergency services arrived, the flames were already coming out of an apartment window, according to the police.
While most of the residents were able to escape from the house in time, the 43-year-old was initially missing.
A short time later, firefighters found the man in the burning apartment and rescued him from there.
He had to be resuscitated on site and was then taken to a hospital.
The fire department was able to finish extinguishing the fire around 7 a.m.
According to police, the property damage is in the five-figure range.
According to the Ansbach criminal police, the fire was probably caused negligently.
