The 3klang carnival concert is a classic and also ran under this motto.

The musical range of the Aliceten choir was broadly spanned.

Freising

– Well over 100 guests enjoyed the carnival revue “Klassiker” in the Lindenkeller in the Lower House on Thursday – which did not contain any trite jokes or embarrassing interludes.

Rather, a lot of work was done here with passion and attention to detail: calm and yet with banging effects.

Loyal audience

The 3klang carnival revue is a traditional foolish concert - and has been for 18 years.

The founder of this annual carnival celebration, Alice Paper-Burghardt, was very touched by the fact that, despite a huge carnival offering in the surrounding area, a lot of people still come to this event - or as she put it in the introduction: “You are such a great, loyal audience.” With that But she still didn't expect a lot of crowds.

No wonder the seats were so popular, as the motto “Classics” sounded tempting to sing along and dance along to.

The guests experienced a revue that left nothing to be desired.

And no one was actually disappointed.

While it started in a classic way with “Magic Shostakovitch”, which was brilliantly brought to the stage by the “Perlen der Klassik” ensemble, the ChorAliceten quickly took to the podium – and immediately let it rip.

There couldn't have been a better opener than a medley from the soundtrack to the film "Forrest Gump" - including "California Dreamin'", "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Hound Dog".

In between: streamer acrobatics, confetti blizzards and balloon juggling, all wonderfully earthy and therefore a really big show.

Anyone who wanted to take a break from singing along and snapping along had time to do so during the dance performance of the “Favorite Flamencas” under the direction of Daniela Hamm, who made the stage shake and received thunderous applause for their precise performance.

Opera and Queen

A highlight: the “opera medley”, sung by Saskia Rupp, which left everyone breathless.

The reason: Rupp has a voice that could still be heard in the House of Lords and a charisma like Bally Prell once did in their best times - everything is precise, warm-tempered and with a good dose of humor.

But the “Tribute to Queen” was also extremely convincing, because the choir didn’t make it easy for itself, but also bowed to the English cult with “Bohemian Rhapsody”, and not “just” with “We will rock you”. Formation.

In the role of various composers such as Mozart or Beethoven: Claus-Peter Damitz, who stood in for Frank Selzle, who was ill at short notice, and warmed up the Lindenkeller as a moderator.

Rousing medley

The bouncer “Schlager-Medley” then got everyone off their seats again: In addition to “Major Tom” and a “Fürstenfeld”, in which it suddenly said “I want to go back home to Lerchenfeld”, “Alice” really sang, especially with Smokies everyone with.

The extremely funny thing: Someone was finally able to answer the question “Who the f... is Alice?”, which appears in the new version, that evening.

The choir director stepped forward and said: “Yes, that’s me.”

Carnival invigorates

The ChoirAliceten managed an evening full of tinsel and streamers, but also warmth of hearts.

After around two hours, the last balloon burst and the confetti was swept up.

This year the choir formation has once again managed to put a dynamic and extremely lively stamp on the rather weak Freising carnival.
