The coarse mash of carrots and potatoes used to be an integral part of home cooking and was considered poor people's food, as was the sweet potato picker.

But despite its simplicity, the coarse puree has lost none of its popularity.

The delicate consistency, the sweet taste of the carrots and the hearty note of the potatoes make carrots a real treat when mixed together.

You only need a few ingredients for the carrot and potato mash:

Whether as a side dish with schnitzel, fish or sausages or as a simple vegetarian main dish, grandma's carrots always work together.
