A driver's license candidate who cheated on the code test using a wireless headset ended up in hospital, where a doctor had to intervene to remove the device from his ear canal, police announced Friday Italian.
During the code exam, which was held in the province of Como, near Milan, Italy, the examiner was intrigued by the candidate's suspicious behavior.
This one, a young man of 25, was equipped with a micro-earpiece and a micro-camera connected to his cell phone, hidden in his jacket.
The device allowed him to be in contact with an accomplice, who could thus see the form with the questions and give him the correct answers.
The police, alerted by the examiner, discovered on their arrival the ingenious ploy used by the candidate to fraudulently pass his exam, then took him to a hospital.
“The intervention of a doctor was necessary to extract the micro-earpiece, hidden dangerously in the ear canal, in order to avoid damaging his hearing
,” they said in a press release.
When he left the hospital, the young man was the subject of a legal complaint and his equipment was confiscated by the police.
