There have apparently been racist comments in a Schleswig-Holstein police station for years.
The Interior Minister’s reaction is clear.
Kiel - According to Interior Minister Sabine Sütterlin-Waack (CDU), there is no excuse or justification for the racist incidents at the police station in Mölln (Duchy of Lauenburg district).
“The Schleswig-Holstein State Police stands for adhering to our values.
Any misconduct will be rigorously pursued.
“That also happened in this case,” the minister said on Friday.
In this case, managers would have failed.
“Criminal investigations are underway against all officers involved in the incidents.
Disciplinary proceedings have already been initiated.”
The immediate, consistent and professional processing of this case also shows that the instruments introduced in recent years, such as the internal police early warning system or the various contact points, are being used.
“The state police have consistently pursued any misconduct with a zero-tolerance line and will continue to do so.”
The topic of right-wing extremism is dealt with intensively in the training of police officers and is also discussed again and again in various training courses, says Sütterlin-Waack.
“We must not and will not let up here.” dpa
