next February 10 it celebrates its 150th anniversary.

the activities for the 150th anniversary will begin on Friday, February 9 on the stage of the Plaza del Agua
, where the Navy band, the Sea Guard and numerous invited figures will perform, among them, Teté Coustarot.
The event will end at midnight to sing happy birthday to the city and a 150 kilo cake will be shared among those present.
The next day, in the morning, on the downtown beaches, there will be a tour of vintage collector cars through the main streets of the city and the presentation of sailboats from the Nautical Club.

On this occasion, off the coast, you can enjoy the presence of the Frigate Libertad with its sails spread.
In the afternoon and into the night, the stage that will be set up on the Hermitage promenade will vibrate to the rhythm of the best shows.
The first will be a
show in tribute to the great Ástor Piazzolla
and the presentation of “Tango que te recontra tango”, with the direction and choreography of Ana María Zaninetti.
Then, some of the artists from the 2024 theater season will greet those present, this space being hosted by the Weinbaum brothers, Eugenio and Culini.
This second day of celebration will end with performances by the duo
Pimpinela and Los Palmeras.
On Sunday the 11th, Las Toscas will once again be the center of the shows, among which you can enjoy different murgas and troupes for carnival, the bands of the Air Force and the Navy, the shows of
Los Totora and
La
Joaqui.
All activities for the 150th anniversary of Mar del Plata are free of charge.
On Monday it will be the turn – also on the Paseo Hermitage stage – for
the most beautiful party in the world: the Bresh.
To close a spectacular weekend, on Tuesday the 13th the traditional central parade will take place in Plaza España with the participation of numerous murgas and troupes and a great musical closing.
