A “dispute of approach” with the executive
Then questioned about his decision not to join the government, François Bayrou repeated that a “dispute of approach” existed on “the policy” to be carried out on education.
“This difference in approach prevented me from occupying this position

),” he said.
“It is very good that in a political group, we can have an approach that is not the same and that we keep a hint of sensitivity,” declared François Bayrou.

This Thursday on the set of France 2, Prime Minister Gabriel Attal described François Bayrou as a “pillar of French political life”.
“I have great respect and a form of admiration for him.
Obviously we discussed the question of seeing him join the government.
But appointing him to National Education was not the best solution,” he said.
