On October 7, the entire State of Israel woke up to a nightmare.

In the first days, many did not yet realize the magnitude of the disaster, the citizens of Israel felt existential anxiety, there was a feeling that the State of Israel was facing collapse.
We found ourselves in the biggest security failure we have experienced since the establishment of the state.
However, despite the initial shock, within a few hours our heroic children were kicked out of their homes and some of them even volunteered to defend the homeland, all without thinking twice, while leaving parents, spouses and children to take care of at home.
They engaged in the task with indescribable courage and heroism, believing in the mission to return the abductees who were taken from their home with unimaginable barbarism.
The citizens of Israel showed magnanimity, each harnessed himself in his own way in order to bring about victory in the war effort.
Many families opened their homes to receive citizens who were evacuated from the north and the south, men and women of all ages started volunteering in agriculture, people came out to donate blood en masse, within a few hours fundraisers began, for soldiers, evacuees and other issues.
Women from the ultra-orthodox sector cooked hot meals for men and women in the field, men volunteered for the various rescue organizations, including Zaka and did holy work shoulder to shoulder, the whole society rallied together for the sake of the state.

With the time that passes and the fighting that continues, the time has come to say that there must be a change in the system.
The last few months have proven to all of us that we are much stronger when we are united.
The State of Israel of 2024 will not be able to continue to exist as it has existed until now.
The security situation entails many changes, both in the security aspect and in the social aspect.
The fact that the State of Israel is threatened by a number of different sectors is not new, but unfortunately the moment has come when we are dealing with all sectors at the same time.
In order to succeed in this campaign and those yet to come, we must increase the manpower in the IDF and the various organizations that support it, in one form or another. Recruiting preparations and seder meetings, but this is not enough.
In order to be a strong and formidable army, we must significantly increase our strength even in routine. For this purpose, the time has come to integrate other sectors, so that they too bear the burden. Beyond the fact that it is a huge privilege to take part in this system, Its entire role is to protect all the inhabitants of the country. We simply will not be able to continue to face the many challenges that are still ahead of us without advancing these significant steps.

The question we need to ask ourselves today is how will the State of Israel continue and exist in the current situation?
I know that for years we have been talking about the issue of equality in the burden and have not been able to reach the valley of equality.

The leadership also needs to understand the magnitude of the hour.
This should be reflected in the obligation of military or civil service for all citizens of the country.
The State of Israel cannot continue to allow itself a situation of promoting a state within a state.
Every young man and woman at the age of 18 - Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Druze and Circassian must do mandatory military or civil service.
The changes I'm talking about should also be reflected in government budgets, the term "coalition funds" should be removed, all budgets should be directed to programs for the rehabilitation and development of society, the economy and, of course, security.
It is impossible to continue to scatter money from the helicopter while the businesses of reservists are being closed left and right and the wives of the reservists are being fired from their jobs, because the whole family was mobilized to defend the country.
It's time to stop the postponements on the grounds that after the war things will change.
The "after" should be brought to "now".

Now everyone has to take part in the campaign.
It is impossible that there are mothers who do not sleep at night worrying about their children who have been fighting in the North, the South, the Yosh and more for over a hundred days, that reservists' wives raise their children alone for months while handling all the chores at home and work, that children do not see their fathers or mothers for months, because there is no one May he replace them in the campaign and lend a hand, that people are absent from work for many months and unfortunately some of them also lose their livelihood, while others live routine lives.
The responsibility for promoting a reformed society, national resilience, security and equality in the burden is on all of our shoulders.
Only together will we win.
