Highlights: Museum souvenirs in the bookstore: This is how the Miebach Museum Association wants to be remembered - even without a museum. Among other things, there are framed views of Miesbach town showing pictures from the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as postcards with local motifs. The sales prices are designed in such a way that the museum association can have similar and other products manufactured and is therefore able to operate its museum shop as long as possible. Since 1908 it has only been a matter of finding a suitable house for the museum.

The Miesbach Museum Association wants to draw more attention to itself by selling promotional items.

That's why various items are now available for purchase in the Buch am Markt bookstore in Miesbach.

Miesbach - Among other things, there are framed views of Miesbach town showing pictures from the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as postcards with local motifs.

We asked the second chairman Konrad Tradler what was behind this campaign.

Mr. Tradler, the promotional items for the museum are not any exhibits from the fund, are they?

But no.

They are items that you would also sell in a museum shop or store.

Small gifts, boxes, breakfast boards, framed city views - just fan items around the museum.

But it still doesn't exist...

Yes, unfortunately.

But it remains our goal.

And so that this remains in everyone's memory, we started this campaign.

So that the museum association doesn't fall into oblivion, even if we can't do much to implement our museum at the moment.

But there are still some ways to support our work – for example, working together or even running for office.

Or purchase some of the new items.

Yes, the board is hoping for strong demand.

The sales prices are designed in such a way that the museum association can have similar and other products manufactured and is therefore able to operate its museum shop as long as possible.

Most recently, the museum association was active with exhibitions, such as the 2022 watch exhibition in Holzkirchen and the 2023 trade trilogy in the Miesbach town hall.

My news

  • 40 volunteers want to help with integration in Schliersee

  • Premiere at the carnival procession in Hausham: A captain directs the Ship of Fools reading

  • A few more months and then the ALB spook in Miesbach will be over

  • Hope for residents: New app aims to attract crowds of visitors to the Miesbach district

  • In real time from the sensor to the cell phone: This app is intended to help visitors to Tegernsee and Schliersee read

Yes, exhibitions like the ones in Miesbach and Holzkirchen are another opportunity to show the work of our association and, above all, to show the possibilities.

The use of the barn house and the rooms of the registration office would be quite interesting as a mini museum as part of the new district office building.

We are fighting to get an exhibition space to be able to present our outstanding pieces - to show what something like this can look like.

We also have a large collection of traditional costumes.

This could attract visitors from all over Bavaria.

We would need that too.

But since 1908 it has only been a matter of finding a suitable house for the museum.

We definitely want to stay on the ball.

The current sale in the Buch am Markt store, where our treasurer Annika Bier works, is a good solution.

Now we hope people like what we have to offer.
