As part of the investigation in the case of the minor accused of killing his mother on October 12 while the woman was sleeping next to her newborn in Hialeah, Florida, the state prosecutor's office revealed new home videos on Wednesday that reveal what they suspect were the moments before and after the crime.

In one of the images recorded inside the apartment, Irina Garcia, 39, is seen breastfeeding her newborn, shortly before being allegedly stabbed to death by her son Derek Rosa, 13, who is later seen in one of the videos talking calmly with the police.

In a six-second video, Rosa tells someone on the phone, "201," in an apparent reference to her apartment number.

In the other six-second video, he appears to be mumbling in Spanish to his mother about some equipment that apparently isn't working properly.

Then, in the most chilling video, which lasts eight seconds, Rosa appears walking in the apartment with her mother and her 14-day-old sister, sitting in a comfortable chair in the background.

In the last of the 10-second videos released Wednesday – allegedly taken after Garcia's stabbing took place – Rosa appears to be speaking to police and calmly says:

"I see officers, shall I leave my house?"

A female voice is heard on the other line: "No, don't come out, stay there, wait."

A group of police officers are then briefly seen arriving at the parking lot as the red and blue lights of patrol cars shine around them.

Rosa has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of his mother.

His case has been placed in the adult felony court system.

The boy's lawyer said it is impossible to draw meaningful conclusions from just a few seconds of video.

"I believe those videos, along with everything else that has been released, demonstrate that the defense is entitled to and needs the entirety of all the evidence, not hand-picked pieces," defense attorney Dayliset Rielo said in a statement to NBC News. Thursday.

Hialeah police have said the stabbing occurred around 11:30 p.m. ET and that officers responded after receiving a call from the teen saying he had murdered his mother, NBC Miami previously reported.

Officers found Garcia dead in her bedroom, stabbed more than 40 times, next to a crib where the baby was found unharmed.

In audio of the 911 call, released last year and obtained by NBC News, Rosa is heard telling police that she took photos of her mother's body and sent them to a friend on social media.

The operator is heard asking: "I need to know if your mom is breathing."

Rosa responded: "Madam, she is dead," she added that there is "blood all over the floor."

He said his little sister was sleeping in her crib.

Asked if she had hurt him, she replied: "I didn't touch her. I didn't mean to touch my sister."

The dispatcher asked him why he killed his mother, but his response was suppressed.

At one point, her person asks, "Did you stab her in the neck? Where else did you stab her besides cutting her throat?"

Her response was also deleted.
