New York police are searching for a 15-year-old boy suspected of fatally shooting a Brazilian tourist in the leg at a Times Square sports store.
Then, he allegedly shot twice at a police officer who was chasing him in the streets of the city center before taking refuge in the metro.
Police identified the teen as a resident of a migrant shelter in Manhattan who arrived in New York from Venezuela late last year.
He is also considered a suspect in an armed robbery in the Bronx and another shooting in Times Square last month, police said.
