This Friday morning, the French Fencing Federation informed of an “abnormal analysis” after an anti-doping control carried out on January 14 on fencer Ysaora Thibus during the Paris international challenge.
Provisionally suspended, the 2022 world champion informed the Federation of “her total incomprehension” and “her immense surprise”.
This Friday evening, the International testing agency (ITA) revealed that the product found in the French woman's sample is ostarine, from the so-called SARMs family (androgen receptor modulators).
The International Testing Agency (ITA) has notified French fencer Ysaora Thibus of an Adverse Analytical Finding for SARMS enobosarm (ostarine).

A substance banned since 2008 by the World Anti-Doping Committee of WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency), which could be compared to “steroids 2.0”.
Several athletes, in boxing, judo, athletics or rugby, have recently tested positive, such as Olympic pole vault champion Thiago Braz or former Carcassonne rugby player Tim Agaba.
If Ysaora Thibus' guilt is proven, she could be suspended for up to four years.
