Berlin - According to police, at least one employee was injured in a robbery on a cash-in-transit truck in Berlin.
The car had pulled up to a bank branch on Mariendorfer Damm around 9 a.m. on Friday when the attack occurred, a police spokeswoman said.
According to a report by “Bild” and “BZ”, several perpetrators are said to have been involved in the attack.
The police were initially unable to provide any information.
It is also still unclear whether and how much loot was taken.
According to “Bild” information, the robbers took the weapons from the cash transport crew and stole a cash box.
According to the police, a burning vehicle was discovered a short time later - just a few minutes from the crime scene - in a parking lot on Mohringer Allee in the Neukölln district.
The Firefighters put out the fire.
It is still unclear whether there is a connection to the attack and whether it may be the getaway vehicle.
This is the subject of the investigation, said the police spokeswoman.
In the past there have been several robberies on cash-in-transit vehicles in Berlin.
