Angelina Mango, Ghali, Alessandra Amoroso, Il Tre, Mr.Rain

: this is the top five of the third evening of the Sanremo festival.

The ranking was drawn up based on the approval of the new Radio and Televoting jury.

Also performing: Maninni, BNKR44, Santi Francesi, Rose Villain, Ricchi e Poveri, Diodato, Negramaro, Fiorella Mannoia, Sangiovanni, La Sad.

The festival embraces

Gianni Morandi and Russell Crowe

again , launches appeals for peace with

Eros Ramazzotti and Giuliano Sangiorgi

, shouts

enough to the white deaths with Stefano Massini and Paolo Jannacci

, finds the monologues again.

The opening, however, is entirely in the name of Teresa Mannino

's irony

, which brings the comedy back to Ariston.

The actress demolishes the liturgy of the staircase, "it's useless, there are eight other entrances", enters Broadway diva style, lies down in the arms of Il Volo, lashes out in her own way at the media overexposure of the festival: "The journalists are all here, if something happens in the world we will never know: it's a month of recklessness. Sanremo is a great carnival. The only negative thing is that I can't see Sanremo tonight."

A hilarious show that brings a smile back to Amadeus, after a day of controversy linked to the case of the alleged hidden advertising for a shoe company in John Travolta's performance on Wednesday.

"Today there has been a lot of talk, in my opinion perhaps too much, about John Travolta and I believe that the right space has not been given to the extraordinary testimony of the maestro Giovanni Allevi", underlines the artistic director as he opens the evening.

Instead, Fiorello, involved in the embarrassing qua qua dance with the Hollywood star which even ended up in Reuters, jokes about it: "If we had mugged two elderly people outside the post office they would have insulted us less, the mugging is less serious than the qua qua dance" , laughs the showman connected from the Aristonello.

Morandi also makes a joke, having come to reclaim the ovation at the Ariston a year later with There was a boy who, like me, loved the Beatles and the Rolling Stones and Apri tutti le porte.

And above all the ironic one is

Russell Crowe

, who returned to Sanremo with his band The Gentlemen Brothers.

"At my signal unleash hell", he chants in Italian the epic line from Ridley Scott's Gladiator, then he hugs Mannino screaming "Teresa" and mimes the 'chicken dance'.

For the 40 years of Terra Promessa, with which he won among the New Proposals, Eros Ramazzotti returns as a guest.

He drags the theater into a mega karaoke, then launches his appeal: "There are almost 500 million children living in conflict zones, millions more who will never see the promised land: no more blood, no more wars. Peace! Our thoughts forever".

Let's start everything again... with peace!", Giuliano Sangiorgi also shouts, quoting the title of the Negramaro song (and kisses Emma on the mouth).

There is room for a moment of reflection on deaths at work

.

Stefano Massini and Paolo Jannacci sing L'uomo nel flash, the story of a worker who dies in a factory explosion and leaves behind a few-month-old baby.

"Work is a right that does not include death, protecting workers is a duty," says Amadeus.

And Massini: "There is a love that is never talked about, but fundamental, the one that we should have for our rights, those that we deserve, whoever you are. Long live dignity."

In his monologue Mannino instead reflects on the man who has become overbearing and thinks he is superior to nature: "To the power over - he says - I prefer the power of, which has another energy, the power of laughing and making people laugh, to dress in feathers, to sing out of tune, to dance in the street".

Fictional quotas include Sabrina Ferilli, interpreter of Gloria, and Edoardo Leo, protagonist of Clandestino, who invites us to protect "comedians and artists".

“When the sun of culture is low, dwarves look like giants,” he says, quoting Karl Kraus.

"Let the sun of culture always shine at midday, the last glimmer of light before the darkness."

Amadeus: 'Too much has been said about Travolta, Allevi is more important'

"Today there has been a lot of talk, in my opinion perhaps too much, about John Travolta and I believe that the right space has not been given to the extraordinary testimony of the maestro Giovanni Allevi": Amadeus said this on the stage of the Ariston theater as he kicked off the third evening of the Festival of Sanremo.

Teresa Mannino enters, irony demolishes the liturgy of the staircase

"Sanremo is loved, Ama is loved, everyone loves each other but I'm not going down."

Teresa Mannino is the co-host of the third evening and immediately brings her ironic style to the stage, demolishing the liturgy of the staircase.

"These stairs are different from all the stairs in the world, because they have curves, a glass floor, even wax. And then they are of no use - says the actress - because there are eight other entrances. Behind here we pray, there are amulets, signs of the cross... and he says it's the most beautiful moment, when 10 million Italians look at you... you should have been a psychologist."

She then agrees to come down, but only when the audience loudly chants her name.

"Amadeus, what have you done? We've only been talking about Sanremo for a month. The journalists are all here: if something happens in the world, we'll never find out. But it's nice to live a month of recklessness. It's a great carnival ".

Teresa Mannino, on the Ariston stage, is unleashed.

Dressed in white, with a feathered shirt, she jokes about the looks: "I thank my stylist who also dressed Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Michelle Obama, Taylor Swift. And Teresa Mannino. Just think, she started her career with Whitney Houston and ended it with me".

Jennifer Lopez has the same dress she's wearing, but she goes shopping in it. If I go to the butcher like this she will pluck me and throw me in the refrigerated section. And in any case before the controversy, know that I haven't killed any birds ".

Massimo Giletti at Ariston: 'The return to Rai is an intense emotion'

"Welcome and welcome back to Rai": this is how Amadeus greeted Massimo Giletti, sitting in the front row at the Ariston.

"We will celebrate 70 years of TV on February 28, on Rai1 in prime time, with big names. Returning to the company where I was born and raised, professionally and as a man - said Giletti during the third evening of the Sanremo Festival - is a "Very intense emotion. I dedicate it to the people who are here, who gave me warmth in difficult moments that I cannot forget."

Eros Ramazzotti: 'Enough blood, enough wars.

Millions of children will never see the promised land'

"There are almost 500 million children living in conflict zones, millions more who will never see the promised land: no more blood, no more wars. Peace! Our thoughts forever".

The appeal to stop conflicts is launched by

Eros Ramazzotti,

a guest on the Ariston stage to celebrate 40 years of Promised Land, presented precisely on that stage.

"I must thank my father most of all who gave me the push. I appeal to parents who should always leave their children free will to try to do things": said Ramazzotti after the celebration of the 40 years of Promised Land, born at the Festival and also citing as an example dad Sinner's support for the tennis champion.

"I have had many wonderful experiences and I have to thank Sanremo for this, we were 10 in a room that year as Gino Paoli would say", said Ramazzotti.

And he remembers three unforgettable moments of his long and brilliant career: "The arrival in Milan from Rome: I couldn't see the city, there was fog, but I liked the energy of the city between music, fashion, art. The signing with Sony in '95 and then the meeting with Tina Turner that I would like to remember tonight."

Massini-Jannacci: 'Long live dignity for workers'

On the Ariston stage there is also space to talk about rights and deaths at work with

Stefano Massini and Paolo Jannacci

who arrive with the song L'uomo nel lampo.

"This is the Italian song festival and love has been expressed in all its possible forms - says the writer and essayist -, but there is a love that is never talked about, the love for the rights that give us they are due to whoever you are. At Ariston I want to make a word that is dignity resonate in front of all these people: long live dignity."

Amadeus also joined Massini's appeal: "work is a right that does not include death and protecting workers is a duty".

Ariston hails the return of Gianni Morandi

Ariston acclaims the return of Gianni Morandi, co-host of the 2023 edition. "It seems to me that not even a year has passed," says Amadeus.

"A true friendship has blossomed between us. And at a certain point at breakfast a few days ago I thought: I miss Gianni Morandi, and I called him."

The two launch Teresa Mannino: "When I was little I wanted to be a singer, my sister told me you're out of tune and when you sing it rains, and it rained. Tonight I have to disfigure my sister, sing in Sanremo".

And she asks Morandi to sing There was a boy who, like me, loved the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.

"At this moment - says the actress - we really need it".

The whole Ariston sings with him.

Then he returns to the stage and there is a standing ovation for Gianni Morandi: the whole Ariston dances to Open All Doors, brought to the Sanremo competition in 2022. "This is your home", comments Amadeus.

Russell Crowe plays the Gladiator 'raise hell' and mimes the 'qua qua'

"At my signal raise hell."

Gladiator has returned to the Ariston and the epic line from Ridley Scott's blockbuster resonates with all the power of Russell Crowe's original voice, who pronounces it in Italian, guest tonight at the Ariston with his band The Gentlemen Barbers with whom he performs Let Your Light Shine.

Then she hugs Mannino shouting "Teresa" and, in a flash of irony, when the actress mentions, among other stars with Italian origins, John Travolta, she ironically mimes the qua qua qua dance, the catchphrase of the day after the sketch to forget with the Saturday Night Fever actor.

Sangiorgi kisses Emma on the mouth.

At the end of the performance Negramaro: 'Let's start everything again... with peace!'

“Can I kiss you?”, “Yes”.

And Giuliano Sangiorgi takes Emma's face in his hands, who is presenting Negramaro this evening, and presses a kiss on her mouth.

The two are united by friendship and by their common Salento origin.

At the end of their performance, Negramaro greets the Ariston audience, and Giuliano Sangiorgi, quoting the title of the song they bring to the competition, says "Let's start everything again... with Peace!".
