According to the reconstruction carried out by the Court, on the night of November 7, 2021,
Lautaro Rosé (18) and his friend Ismael Meza
headed towards the Costanera of the city of Corrientes, where a celebration was taking place for the day of the municipal employee.
After midnight, several patrol cars were sent to the scene after some fights broke out.
The images from the cameras and the testimonies agree that the police made a U-turn and from that moment on
they began pursuing
the group in which Lautaro was, who ran towards the bank of the Paraná River.
Lautaro Rosé (18) drowned in the Paraná River, in Corrientes, after being chased by police.
The boys headed towards Arazaty beach, climbed a fence at the Boca Unidos Club and reached an area of ravines and rubble.
There they were surprised again by the GIR police, who
began shooting them with rubber bullets
, a situation that forced them to jump into the river.
A few seconds later, Lautaro Rosé began to scream for help because
he did not know how to swim
.
Meza also cried out for help for his friend, but the police continued shooting while searching for the target with their flashlights.
Ismael was able to reach the coast because he was
the only one who knew how to swim
.
There the police handcuffed him and beat him.
Lautaro's requests for help ceased and the police threatened the detainee so that he would not reveal anything about what happened.
And if someone asked him why he was wet, he had to say that he had gone into the river to rescue a soccer ball.
The GIR police officers handed the detainee over to a GRIM patrol and left the scene
without notifying their superiors of Rosé's disappearance
.
When the group returned to their base of operations they reported that the departure was “uneventful.”
In the area where Rosé disappeared, the victim's sneakers were found as well as anti-riot cartridges that the police had discarded after shooting the two boys when they were in the water.
