Cannabis plantation in Central Hesse: Four arrests - one in custody

The investigation began in November last year when, based on a tip, officers searched a company building and discovered the illegal plantation.

A 21-year-old suspected operator was temporarily arrested.

An arrest warrant was issued against him because he was a flight risk;

he is in custody.

After further investigations, three other suspected members of the drug gang were temporarily arrested in Bonn, but were later released due to lack of grounds for detention.

The Marburg public prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation against the four accused, aged 19 to 21, from North Rhine-Westphalia on suspicion of gang cultivation and trafficking in large quantities of narcotics.

The investigations, particularly into other people involved in the crime, are ongoing.

Only recently did the Hessian law enforcement authorities achieve another success in the fight against drugs: customs investigators and the Frankfurt police pulled off a “major coup” in the port of Hamburg.

Over 500 kilograms of cocaine were seized and four suspects were temporarily arrested.

During further searches, over 30,000 euros in cash were seized.
