Family Day is held today (Friday) but there are those for whom it is a particularly sad day.
The relatives of the abducted and missing people commemorated the event with a chilling day of photography, during which the family members took pictures with a yellow chair next to them intended for their family member who is a prisoner of Hamas in Gaza.
For them, the day that was supposed to be happy only emphasizes the lack and all they wish for is the return of their loved ones - and for the empty chair to be occupied again.
Five families were photographed for a missing family photo, among them: the family of Elia Cohen who was kidnapped from the Nova party, the grandparents of Idan Alexander, the Sharabi family, the uncle and cousins of the brothers Yair and Eitan Horn who were kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Oz and the family of Nimrod Cohen - including the dog Theta.

Varda Ben Baruch, Idan Alexander's grandmother told about the difficult feelings that accompany her on this day.
"We only have sadness - no joy," she said.
"Family Day is a happy day, the whole family around the table, today is also Friday evening and Rosh Chodesh, all together. We simply pray for the return of Idan and all the abductees who will be with us. We long to hug them and have them close to us like any mother and father, grandfather and grandmother. This Our request. We are at a loss, we don't understand what is happening, what are the steps to a solution. We want to see results, not talk. Nothing else is important to us. First the abductees, people's lives, of human beings."

Varda said that this day only emphasizes the disadvantage of the abductees.
"Idan's chair is still empty, waiting for him," she shared.
"Idan used to come to us on leave from the army and we just feel every moment at his disadvantage. And of course his parents who are in New Jersey. His mother has now arrived in Israel, her heart told her to come. His father will also come. They want to feel close to him."
