The third edition of the Women's Federal Cup will have an unprecedented champion
.
Boca Juniors
and
San Lorenzo
will be the leading teams in the definition next Sunday, after achieving comebacks this Thursday to beat
Racing
and
River
in the semis , respectively.
El Ciclón, directed by Livio Prieto, comfortably reaches the last match.
They beat Atlético de Tucumán 4-0 in the round of 16 and in the quarterfinals they beat UAI Urquiza, the first champion of the Federal Cup in 2021, 1-0.

The semi-final duel was not easy either, because they lost to River, the last champion in 2022, but the historic
Eliana Medina - from a penalty -
and the youth
Juana Fonseca
were in charge of turning it around (2-1).
In the case of Boca, the great absolute champion of 2023, they want to achieve this title that eluded them in 2021 against the UAI.
Their passage to the final was somewhat tighter: they advanced directly to the quarterfinals because their first rival San Luis FC could not appear due to the AFA's suspension of the Sanluiseña League;
in that instance they beat Platense on penalties (7-6) after equaling 1 to 1;
and in the semis they won the classic against Racing Club again with maximum penalty shots, after a 1-1 draw.

There was a similarity in the two semi-final matches: both River and Racing started winning the match and went into halftime with the advantage, but Prieto and Florencia Quiñones' teams knew how to recover and change the conditions in the second half.
On Sunday, February 11, from 5:00 p.m., the two finalist teams will try to start the season with a smile in this tournament organized by AFA Desarrollo and the Federal Council.
