The starting signal has been fired: Ingenried is building a solar park

2024-02-09T11:15:17.515Z

Highlights: The solar park is to be built on four green areas that cover a total of 18 hectares. Citizens can participate in three of the areas. Flat photovoltaic modules are installed on all areas, not special agri-PV modules, but which still allow sheep or cattle to be grazed. A separate transformer station and an electricity storage facility will also be built right next to the PV ground-mounted systems. “In combination with wind energy, we can ensure the long-term energy supply,” says Mayor Georg Saur.

The Ingenried local council has now given the starting signal for a future-oriented project: a solar park is to be built on four green areas that cover a total of 18 hectares.

Citizens can participate in three of the areas.

Ingenried

– The first of the planned solar park areas in Ingenried is located right next to the large existing PV system of the Erbenschwanger recycling and waste disposal company (EVA) and belongs to a private individual from Ingenried.

A system with an output of one megawatt is to be built there on 1.5 hectares of a so-called “agriculturally disadvantaged area”.

By the way: Everything from the region is also available in our regular Schongau newsletter.

And in our Weilheim-Penzberg newsletter.

The other three areas are in the north-west and west of the community, cover around 16.5 hectares and also belong to Ingenrieder.

The owners of these areas, together with other farmers and citizens of Ingenried as well as “dHb Solarsysteme”, form the newly founded “Energy Community Ingenried”, which will operate the system with a maximum output of 21.59 megawatts.

Citizen participation possible

And the citizens of Ingenried can take part.

However, it is not yet clear at what height and with which model.

“The Energy Working Group will work on this soon,” says Mayor Georg Saur when asked.

Entry into the energy community or so-called crowd financing is possible.

All news and stories can also be found on the Schongauer Nachrichten Facebook page.

What is already clear: the added value remains in the community.

The trade tax and the usual 0.2 cents per kilowatt hour flow into the municipal coffers.

Even in private facilities.

“That brings the community around 48,000 euros a year.

“An income that we can put to good use,” says the head of the municipality, referring to ever-increasing expenses that should be compensated for without raising taxes.

Substation and electricity storage

A separate transformer station and an electricity storage facility will also be built right next to the PV ground-mounted systems.

“In combination with wind energy, we can ensure the long-term energy supply, which could potentially make the price of electricity cheaper for citizens,” says Saur, looking optimistically into the future.

The changes to the land use plans represent a first step towards the energy transition.

Now the land use planning follows.

The resolutions were passed unanimously.
