Prosecutors in Turin have placed threepeople under investigation in relation to a dispute over inheritance pertaining to the Agnelli business family, sourcessaid late Thursday.
The suspects are Turin accountant Gianluca Ferrero, Robert VonGroueningen, the administrator of the inheritance of MarellaAgnelli, Gianni Agnelli's wife, and Stellantis Chairman JohnElkann, the son of Agnelli's daughter Margherita who submitted the complaint that triggered the investigation in the first place.
The probe is understood to relate to the tax treatment of the annuity that Margherita paid to her mother di lei Marella underagreements made in 2004, and not to the Agnelli family's trust companies as initially reported.
The years under investigation are reportedly 2018 and 2019.
