King Charles is open about his cancer diagnosis, but won't reveal which cancer he has.
His former communications assistant has her own theory as to why.
Norfolk – King Charles III
(75) is surprisingly open about his cancer.
The palace announced on behalf of the monarch that he was suffering from cancer, but that it was not prostate cancer.
His Majesty was in a positive mood and was undergoing treatment, appointments were temporarily canceled and Charles disappeared to his country estate.
What type of cancer is it?
The king doesn't want to give an exact answer
The former communications aide to King Charles appeared on ITV's Good Morning Britain yesterday (February 7) where she revealed the real reason why she believes Buckingham Palace didn't want to name a type of cancer.
The first clues had already been given at the end of the official statement: “His Majesty has decided to announce his diagnosis in order to prevent speculation and in the hope that this will contribute to the public's understanding of all people in the world who are affected by cancer. “
As a member of the communications team, Kristina Kyriacou knows exactly what her former boss values.
According to Mirror
Charles III,
she too would have .
advised to secrecy.
She describes the background as follows: “The problem is, the more information you give, the more people speculate.
Once they know what type of cancer it is, everyone starts looking for it, people start Googling and they say I know someone and this happened to them and what they're going to go through.
We know he is sick, he has some type of cancer and it is being treated.”
As a long-time employee, Kyriacou knows King Charles well enough to know what he wants
Kyriacou was Charles' communications secretary from 2009 to 2016, so she worked side by side with him personally for seven years and knows the monarch very well.
She assesses the king as wanting to get back to work as quickly as possible.
She explains: “I took it as a very positive statement that the disease is treatable.
I hope I'm right.” Queen Elizabeth II (96, † 2022) and King Charles didn't want to become history, they still wanted to serve their people most of all.
Everyone is waiting for pictures and a statement from King Charles, who has retired to Sandringham.

“I would hope that King Charles will speak about his treatment in due course,” she wishes and continues: “If he is ready to tell his story, if he wants to tell his story at all, he will find the right way , to do it the way he does it.
He is in touch with enough charities for cancer treatment.”
