Friday, late in the afternoon, the mayor (SE) Claude Noël had to issue a municipal decree at the request of the departmental fire and rescue service to close rue de Parmain, the main artery of this village in the valley of Oise of 2,200 souls.
“Rue de Parmain presents a serious and imminent danger linked to a rapid and worryingly worsening movement of the ground,” underlines the decree.
At issue: a wall and the roadway which threaten to collapse, in the heart of the town.
