The Edesur substation in Caballito caught fire this Saturday early in the afternoon.
Due to the fire, there are residents evacuated and thousands of users without electricity service in the City.
At 2:51 p.m., an emergency call was made to 911 due to the flames at the Edesur company substation, José María Moreno at 300, corner of Formosa.
On social networks, neighbors shared images of the place, in addition to the dense black column of smoke that could be seen miles away.
After 3:30 p.m., 66,819 Edesur users are without electricity.
Of them, 54,334 homes are affected by the fire at the Caballito substation.
In addition to that neighborhood, entire blocks of Almagro, Boedo and Parque Chacabuco are also affected.
Personnel from the Neighborhood Police Station 6B arrived at the scene.
In addition, City Firefighters and several SAME ambulances work.
