He was far from imagining working in cybersecurity at Airbus Defense and Space.
Especially after a professional baccalaureate in motorcycle mechanics.
Despite his atypical profile, Jacques Allain nevertheless joined, in September, a team present on the Élancourt site, in Yvelines, on a work-study basis.
The 20-year-old cannot say anything about his missions.
Discretion is a fundamental rule in this environment.
It was while continuing his studies in BTS computer systems and networks at Ensitech in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines that Jacques Allain had the desire to explore cybersecurity.
“There is something mysterious, as if we were accessing hidden things,” confides the student, who finally tried his luck in the very selective entrance exam for School 2600: “I still have gaps in
coding (computer programming),
but here, everything is done for you to succeed.

“Don’t be afraid to work”
And the new recruit is not disappointed and has a lot of fun with the
bootcamps (rather brief and intensive training)
, the competitions and the night course with the GIGN on the leisure island of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.
Of course, there are classes, but practice counts for a lot.

“We are in a system which is not at all stressful with validation of modules throughout the year, nothing to do with partials,” explains Jacques Allain.
Even if we sometimes work in groups, we also very often work independently.
You must therefore be motivated, not be afraid to work because you are in front of your computer in the evenings and on weekends.
At the beginning, for example, I wasn't necessarily passionate about it, but the longer it goes, the more I feel like I'm into it.
