At a lights campaign at Fürstenfeld Monastery on Saturday, over 1,500 people took a stand against right-wing extremism.
Fürstenfeldbruck - More than 1,500 people from Bruck and the surrounding area followed the call of a broad action alliance, reported the city of Fürstenfeldbruck on Saturday evening.
The event took place on the Amperwiese behind the Fürstenfeld event forum.
There, the participants formed a group with the slogan “Never again” and used cell phones and flashlights to send “a bright sign of democracy to the world,” writes the city.
Open Society
“We stand for an open, tolerant and people-friendly society,” Mayor Christian Götz is quoted as saying.
With the campaign, Bruck supports the current civil society movement that stands for human rights, democratic values and diversity - and against any form of right-wing extremism.
There had already been a demonstration against right-wing radicalism in Germering on Saturday afternoon. Numerous participants also gathered here.
