In a joint effort in Haag an der Amper, firefighters and other helpers have now managed to save a horse that had an accident.
Moosburg
- The Moosburg Volunteer Fire Department – a savior in many situations.
So on Friday morning around 10 a.m., the Moosburg Floriansjünger were alerted to Haag an der Amper to rescue large animals.
A horse could no longer stand up on its own.
Emergency services from Haag and Plörnbach also rushed to the scene of the accident.
The volunteer forces from the Moosburger Wehr arrived with several vehicles and special equipment to rescue animals.
With the support of a veterinarian, the horse was calmed down on site and prepared for a gentle rescue.
For this purpose, Moosburg's special equipment for large animal rescue was used, as well as fire hoses that were routed under the horse.
Special equipment and extensive training for emergency services are essential for large animal rescue operations.

After the technical components were prepared, the rescue operation could be carried out.
With success: after a short time the horse was back on its feet and was cared for by the vet.
