had to be admitted with
serious burns
to an
intensive care
room after being attacked this Friday in a square in
Rada Tilly
, in
Chubut
, where
he was doused with fuel and set on fire with a torch.
A suspect was arrested
for the incident
.
The violent episode occurred shortly before 2 a.m. this Friday when the victim was with some friends in the
"Juan Domingo Perón" plaza
, in said city located about 15 kilometers south of the center of Comodoro Rivadavia.

The boys were calmly drinking mate and out of nowhere a man appeared with a white mask, a bucket and a torch
, he approached them and told them that if they did not leave the square he would set them on fire and so he did," she said. Lourdes, the mother of the burned young man, told the local press later.
The mother assured that her son
"suffered burns to the chest, arms, back, entire face, head, hair and respiratory tract, from the throat to the lungs
, so he is in serious condition, in intensive care and with a respirator for 72 hours.

The woman also described that, after the attack,
"the victim went into the house next to the square as if nothing had happened."
For its part, the provincial government reported that "the Chubut Police, through the Police Investigations Division,

A few hours after the incident, the agents raided
the home of the suspect
, identified by five witnesses.
There the alleged perpetrator of the incident was arrested, classified as
"attempted homicide"
.
The official information report also indicated that Governor Ignacio Torres immediately contacted the family of the young intern to make himself available to them and guarantee their support.
