Dog grooming is their passion.
The Au Chien chic salon, located on rue de la Poste-Prolongée, in Argenteuil (Val-d'Oise), has three medalists at the last French Championship in this discipline.
The boss, Mathieu Heurteau, has climbed to the highest step of the podium twice, in the cocker spaniel and poodle categories.
His employee, Nina Cordon, 22, came third in shih tzu, in the pro hopeful competition (reserved for candidates participating for the first time).
And Amandine Queyrol, 19, won the title of best apprentice in France for coming second in poodle and schnauzer hair removal, and third in cutting for the bichon frisé category.

The history of this show, a true nursery of champions, began in 2014 with Mathieu Heurteau, then aged 22.
The young man developed a passion for dogs that goes back a long way.
“I think I had it in my mother’s womb,” he jokes.
I must have already been a groomer in a past life.
» From the age of 16, his passion for dogs led him to become a volunteer at the Gennevilliers SPA (Hauts-de-Seine).
“At the time, I lived in Montreuil.
I spent Wednesday afternoons and weekends there,” he remembers.
