The Advent window campaign took place again in Langenpreising on the four Advent weekends.

When darkness fell, many villagers large and small took the opportunity to take an evening walk to admire the windows, which were designed with attention to detail.

Money was raised for two good causes.

Langenpreising - The first Advent window was with the Schwarzbözl family, the second with the Schäffls, the third with the Julia Geismann family and the fourth with the village shop.

Visitors enjoyed the pre-Christmas atmosphere with mulled wine, children's punch, gingerbread, Christmas stollen, potato soup and homemade bread.

The organizers provided their hospitality free of charge and the visitors generously donated.

Now it was time for the handover.

Library director Manuela Hofmair received 750 euros, reporting that new media was to be purchased for the Catholic library.

The Erding food bank was also supported with 750 euros and additional donations in kind from the village shop, the Senftl farm shop and the Wolf and Kuntscher company from Rain near Straubing.

Chairwoman Petra Bauernfeind was very happy and emphasized that “the food bank still lives off donations” – and that so far it has worked quite well.

The altar boys also received a donation of 150 euros.
