An impressive quantity of drugs was discovered during the night from Friday to Saturday by the gendarmerie soldiers: 9 kg of cannabis resin in total.
The investigations took place in two stages.
At the beginning, the gendarmes of the PSIG (gendarmerie surveillance and investigation platoon) decided to carry out a road check in Fleurines in the Oise.
They therefore post a patrol along the D 1O17.
Around 12:45 a.m. this Saturday, they stopped a Renault Clio and asked the driver of the vehicle for its papers.
When the latter rolls down the window, a strong smell of marijuana escapes.
They then carried out a search of the vehicle and found, in a bag, 1.9 kg of cannabis resin.
Three times more at home
The investigation therefore begins and a search is organized at the driver's home, in the town of Pont-Sainte-Maxence.
The gendarmes from the local brigade then took over and discovered an additional 7.1 kg of resin.
The 34-year-old man was immediately taken into police custody to be questioned about the possession of this large quantity of narcotics, which in all likelihood was not intended solely for his personal consumption.
His police custody was extended and the individual, known to the courts for other facts, should be tried this Monday under the regime of immediate appearance at the Senlis court.
