What would have happened without the intervention of the police?

Suspected of having committed violence against his ex-partner in the evening, he was placed in police custody.

For the moment, the Paris prosecutor's office has not responded to our requests.
It was around 10:30 p.m. on Friday evening when the police were called following a report on the public highway of this armed man.
Quickly, a patrol arrived on site.
When questioned, the owner of a restaurant confirms that the suspect showed up with the sharp weapon and, above all, that he is looking for his former girlfriend.
Living near the establishment, he was finally arrested in the lobby of his building without difficulty.
The ex victim of violence but without a bladed weapon
To complete the picture, police officers found several bladed weapons in his home.
As for the victim, he will finally be located and taken care of more than a kilometer away, at Paul-Valéry college.
To the police, the latter - who filed a complaint - indicated that she had suffered physical and psychological violence but was not stabbed.
This is not the first time that rue de Charenton has experienced this type of scare.
In April 2022, a 26-year-old man, in a drunken state, was arrested after threatening three people with a machete in front of a grocery store.
