View of the city from above: Tegernsee approved the TTT budget without much criticism.

While Kreuth recently rejected the budget of Tegernseer Tal Tourismus GmbH (TTT) because of its tense financial situation, everything is going smoothly with Tegernsee.
The city councilors approved the budget with one dissenting vote.
Tegernsee
- The presentation that TTT managing director Christian Kausch gave to the city council not only included an overview of successful events, projects and activities, but also a report on the importance of increasing communication, field trips by employees, hosting events, and visits from press groups and experts, and even the revamped facility, the care of young talent and the honoring of long-standing employees.
Small destination Tegernsee is increasing in reputation
“The Tegernsee is constantly increasing in reputation as a relatively small destination,” reported Kausch and backed this up with a study, according to which the Tegernsee ranks in the top 10 of the spontaneously mentioned travel destinations, and the city of Tegernsee ranks first among the most popular German small towns with fewer than 10,000 population and has one of the 15 most beautiful Christmas markets in Germany.
The number of overnight stays (32,469) in 2023 would also be almost at pre-Corona levels, and guests would also be getting younger and younger.
Therefore, the digital infrastructure is necessary.

TTT boss Kausch: Tegernsee app offers numerous advantages
We are currently taking the next step with the digital guest card and Tegernsee Card, and the Tegernsee app also offers numerous advantages from easier use to easier administration.
Guest cards and registration systems would be gradually converted and linked to the app - all with the aim of promoting the qualitative development of the Tegernsee destination.
Kausch presented relevant campaigns and gave an overview of all the important events this year.
Kausch even presented the region's new image film, which is intended to awaken emotions and “feelings for beautiful Tegernsee moments”, in the meeting room.
Increasing the urban share does not trigger any protests
The fact that the figures on shareholder financing and the city's share did not trigger any protests among the city councilors in Tegernsee was shown in the subsequent debate.
Kausch had previously explained the increase in costs despite savings.
Among other things, software licenses with Microsoft alone would have led to a significant increase.
The PR concept urgently needs to be expanded (plus 60,000 euros), 10,000 euros more are needed for the winter campaign, and personnel costs have also increased, according to the TTT boss.

The CSU city council cannot understand the many debates about the TTT budget
Rudolf Gritsch (CSU) paid the TTT the greatest respect.
“I cannot understand the many debates,” said Gritsch, because no municipality is able to design and organize this offer.
He appealed to Kausch: “Don’t let yourself be unsettled and keep doing what you’re doing.”
Questions addressed to the TTT boss regarding the app were more technical in nature.
When Thomas Mandl (SPD) asked whether there were any other, cheaper products for software licenses than those from Microsoft, Kausch had to answer in the negative.
“It’s a monopoly.
We can’t avoid it.”
Florian Kohler ( BürgerListe ) was the only one in the city council who was against the budget, but did not want this to be seen as criticism of the TTT.
“I am against an industry receiving five million euros in subsidies,” said Kohler.
Mayor Hagn wants to stick to the financing system
Mayor Johannes Hagn (CSU) contradicted this statement: It is not a question of subsidies, rather the Tegernsee share would be cross-financed through the spa fees, which are collected through tourist services.
Hagn was in favor of sticking with the previous system - a basic contribution based on the district levy, a marketing levy based on overnight stays and a levy for the tourist information.
A system that Kreuth would like to change, which was recently discussed at a closed meeting.
“You can certainly agree,” said the mayor, which the members of the city council also saw with one opposing vote.
