Many passing Parisians or provincials are coming this weekend to the Ministry of Justice, Place Vendôme, to leave their condolences.

A long line of umbrellas stretches across Place Vendôme.

The drizzle did not discourage the men and women ready to wait several minutes this Saturday morning to pay tribute to Robert Badinter.

As of Friday, the day of his death, the Ministry of Justice made available to the public a register of condolences to pay tribute to the memory of the man who left his mark on these places when he was Minister of Justice between 1981 and 1986.
