Bavaria is facing a turbulent middle of the week: winter is celebrating a comeback in the north of the Free State, while in the south it will be - at least - stormy.

Munich – February has so far been characterized by very varied weather.

Sometimes it rains heavily and storms, then the sun shines again from the bright blue sky and gives people the first feeling of spring.

Things will continue in a similar way in the next few days.

“Heavy snowfall” and sun with up to 15 degrees: Turbulent weather in Bavaria

On Wednesday, February 7th, various weather warnings apply throughout Bavaria.

The German Weather Service writes that there are gusts of wind (warning level one) almost everywhere, and in some regions (northwest, northeast and southern Bavaria) there are even gusts of wind (warning level two).

There is also a level two warning for continuous rain in the east of Bavaria and in parts of Middle and Upper Franconia.

But that's not enough.

According to the DWD's warning situation report for Bavaria, there will be 2 to 8 centimeters of fresh snow with corresponding slipperiness in Hofer Land and in the Franconian Forest up to lower altitudes from the "afternoon to Thursday morning, February 8th", which cannot be ruled out.

The daily forecast even mentions “heavy snowfall”.

In the south, however, it remains dry and stormy with temperatures around ten degrees.
