Outside of all protocol.
Javier Milei and Pope Francis
had a
brief but relaxed dialogue
during their meeting after the ceremony held in the Vatican that marked the canonization of the first Argentine saint, Mama Antula.
There was a hug, of course.
But, prior to that gesture - which required
permission and authorization
- there was an exchange of words that caused knowing laughter between both.
From the official website of the Vatican, a video was broadcast on social networks where you can listen to a passage of what the two leaders said to each other who knew how to have their friction in the past and will now share an audience this Monday.
"
Did you cut your hair?
" Francisco said when he had Milei in front of him.
"I got busy
," was the Argentine president's response.
Milei requests, with great warmth: "Can I give you a kiss?"
"Yes, son, yes," she receives as a papal response.
It transcends a very relaxed dialogue between Pope Francis and Javier Milei.

When they embraced each other in a warm embrace, there was gratitude from both of them.
Milei told him: "Thank you for having us."
Francisco responded with the same generosity - "
Thank you, son
, for coming here," he outlined - and highlighted the clothing worn by the President.
"Because
you are kind of informal
," the Pope joked.
In the video released, you can also see
Karina Milei
asking Francis "if she can greet him with a kiss," and after kissing the Pope, Francis thanked him "for supporting him (for the President)."

Francisco and Milei had two meetings that were not scheduled.
The first, prior to the ceremony
when the President arrived at St. Peter's Basilica.
There, he was invited by the authorities to approach a reserved place where he had a brief but warm greeting with his host.

And then, the later described.
The convulsed political and social moment in Argentina will surely be one of the topics that will be discussed in the private audience that they will share this Monday in the Apostolic Palace of the Vatican.
Milei followed the canonization of Mama Antula from the front row of the central nave of St. Peter's Basilica, which was filled with
about 5,500 people
, many of them Argentinians.
