Vicky Leandros quits and gives her fans a farewell tour in their honor - which the pop legend really takes with her.
At “Kiwi’s big party night” she talks about it with Andrea Kiewel.
Berlin - In the third episode of "Kiwi's Big Party Night" on Sat.1, Vicky Leandros (71) spoke about the end of her career - and that's really bothering the pop star.
She is now done with the first half of the tour.
The singer told “ZDF- Fernsehengarten” presenter Andrea Kiewel (58) in her party format how much it affected her.
Tears from Vicky Leandros and her fans: emotional farewell to the pop star
Andrea Kiewel wanted to know why Vicky Leandros stopped making music.
The pop singer has a clear answer to this: “Yes, somehow I thought that now was the right time [...] Yes, because I don't want to be in a concert at some point and maybe no longer reach people with my voice.
I want it to still be nice and I have now finished the first part of the farewell concerts."
Vicky Leandros cried a lot on her farewell tour - but she is not alone.

But the farewell tour takes Vicky Leandros much more with her than the pop singer initially expected: tears even flowed at her concerts - on both sides.
“Well, the audience cried a little, I cried - it was actually something I didn't like,” the 71-year-old told presenter Andrea Kiewel.
The pop icon couldn't suppress tears, even though she wanted to be strong for her fans and not show herself like that.
In general, there was a lot going on at “Kiwi's big party night”: there was a near accident with musical guest Howard Carpendale, which presenter Andrea Kiewel paid no attention to.
